The Friends of Ginanda Gikendaasomin is a 501 (C) (3) tax-exempt organization established to support the realization of a long-time dream of a community life-long learning center to include an Anishinaabe language immersion school, a library and archives, a community center, classrooms for adult and continuing education, and offices for the education department. We believe that this project can be transformative for the Red Cliff community, preserving our language and our cultural heritage unto seven generations.

The first tangible step toward this powerful vision can be seen in the interim library. We are now working to further develop this vision and to raise the money needed to make it a reality. Everyone can help. Every gift, however small, will help. To contribute, please send a check made out to Friends of Ginanda Gikendaasomin to Friends’ treasurer Dee Gokee-Rindal at the Early Childhood Center, 88385 Pike Road, Highway 13, Bayfield, WI 54814. Call her at 715-779-5030 ext 249 or call Chairman Beth Paap at xxx-xxx-xxxx for more information.
